Take your practice to a higher level with our 100-hour Basic Course for Wellness Professionals, led by Dr. Michael McCall.

Dr. McCall, an ICAK Diplomate, has taken over 1,000 hours of Applied Kinesiology courses. He holds a Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine, and currently teaches a masters level class on endocrine and neurotransmitters. He has been practicing AK for 15 years and uses Chiropractic, Nutrition and AK to treat a multitude of conditions with much success.

ICAK-Approved Course

Over a course of 7 weekends, each session will comprise of lecture, demonstration and applicable technique.

Each class builds upon the concepts of earlier classes, so we highly recommend taking the entire course. However, participants are welcome to select single sessions, if they prefer.

Who should take this course?

At a minimum, the course is open to healthcare professionals licensed in clinical diagnosis, and students enrolled in accredited colleges to earn licensure for the purpose of increasing accuracy and specificity in diagnosis and treatment plans. Ideally, this class is best for any physician who wants to learn more about how the body can communicate its innate intelligence to the physician’s educated intelligence.

2018/2019 Class Schedule

Class 1: Nov 10-11, 2018 - Intro to AK and muscle testing (science/art and philosophy). Cervical, lumbar, and pelvic muscle testing and AK protocols.  AK evaluations of spine and extremity dysfunctions. AK evaluation of acute and chronic sports/physical trauma. Implementation of whole food nutrition-diet and supplementation.  Intro to functional adrenal fatigue (as it presents with musculoskeletal/chronic conditions). Gait analysis. Introduction to AK application of cranial sacral.

Class 2: Jan 12-13, 2019 -  AK ankle muscle evaluation. AK/SOT pelvic category II and III. Lumbar Disc evaluation.  AK evaluation of shoulder and knee muscles. Vertebral fixations and specific bilateral muscle correlations.  Ileocecal Valve syndrome as it pertains to musculoskeletal symptoms, chronic conditions, PMS and lymphatic drainage.  Advanced gait analysis (PALO ALTO). Ankle and foot adjusting protocols and application of orthotics and orthopedics. Ligamentous protocols.  AK evaluation of right and left brain function and afferent and efferent function.

Class 3: Mar 9-10, 2019 -  Introduction to acupuncture meridian therapy and AK applications and protocols. Melzak-Wahl pain management. Basic auriculotherapy. Advanced proprioceptive protocols (PYRT).  Functional Hypothyroid and Hyperthyroid protocols. Rotator cuff (SITS) AK muscle testing. Shoulder biomechanics and orthopedics. AK protocols to shoulder dysfunctions. Thoracic outlet syndrome.

Class 4: Apr 6-7, 2019 - Using the Temporal Sphenoidal Line for diagnosis. Holographic memory technique for post surgical care. Further Acupunctural evaluation (Ko Cycle).  Iliolumbar ligament technique (Dr. Fred Ili). AK knee evaluation and manual manipulation correlations.

Class 5: May 4-5, 2019 - Using the Temporal Sphenoidal Line for diagnosis. Holographic memory technique for post surgical care. Further Acupunctural evaluation (Ko Cycle).  Iliolumbar ligament technique (Dr. Fred Ili). AK knee evaluation and manual manipulation correlations.

Class 6: May 18-19, 2019 - AK spondylogenic reflex technique for spinal dysfunction.  Advanced athletic training protocols. Essential Fatty Acid metabolism.  AK treatment protocols for scoliosis. Pineal and HPA axis functional disorders.  Blood pressure treatment protocols.

Class 7: Jun 1-2, 2019 -  Blood pressure treatment protocols.  Allergy treatments. Mind body medicine.  Biochemistry of the B vitamin complex. AK muscle testing of the forearm, wrist and hand muscles. Carpal tunnel syndrome. 


  • Additional $50 fee when registering at the door
  • Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be given only for cancellations made one week prior to the first seminar date (minus 10% fee for any processing). A partial refund will be given for cancellations made by the end of Session 1. No exceptions.
  • Partial refund will not be granted for partial attendance. No exceptions.
  • No video or audio recording equipment is permitted at any of the modules.
  • Any persons found to be selling or profiting in any way from the sale of notes, audio or video recordings of Dr. Michael McCall, without expressed written permission from Dr. McCall, will be dismissed from the program and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
  • Dr. McCall reserves the rights of admission.
  • Every attempt is made to offer this program as announced. Dr. McCall reserves the right, however, to adjust program faculty, location, dates, times and tuition to accommodate unanticipated occurrences.

  • University of Western States is an approved provider of CE for Chiropractors for the Providers of Approved Continuing Education (PACE) program of the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards. States that accept courses that are approved by PACE include:  AK, CT, DC, ID, IN, IA, KS, ME, MD, MA, MN, MT, NV, NJ, NC, ND, OR, RI, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, VA, WA, WY, Puerto Rico and Nova Scotia.
  • University of Western States is accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) which provides approval of CE for Chiropractors for all CE programs. The states that approve courses offered by CCE universities are: CT, DC, DE, IA, ID, IN, MA, MS, MT, ND, OR, RI, SC, UT, VA, WA, WY and BC.
  • The following states do not pre-approve CE: CO, NE, and OH. Plus, the following Canadian provinces: British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland & Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec, and Yukon. Submit certificate directly to your governing board for approval.
